I hope you guys are having a wonderful beginning to 2017! Time is just flying by over here. I swear the days just whoosh by and then the next one is here! Can someone please make time slow down just a little so I can get maybe just a few more things done around the house?! Speaking of which…I finally did another project today. I took a ton of time off over the holidays and while it felt great, it was fun getting back into the swing of things! I made this awesome wire cloche this afternoon and it was so easy! My girl, Liz, from Love Grows Wild was sweet enough to send me a copy of her new book and so I obviously had to try out a project! Her book is called A Touch of Farmhouse Charm and it’s packed with 70 home decor projects to add farmhouse style to your own home. I chose a beginner project, but there are intermediate and advanced projects that I’m dying to try, too! Liz takes you on a room-by-room tour of her own farmhouse, sharing different projects and renovations she’s done to add character to each room. And…isn’t the bedroom gorgeous?!? I. Want. With each project comes a list of all the tools and supplies you need and step-by-step directions on how to complete it. Not to mention the gorgeous photos. Seriously, I may do every single project in here! Below is Liz’s wire cloche from the book. It screamed spring to me and since it’s a mere 14 degrees here today in Michigan, I thought spring was just what I needed! I got my supplies together and whipped this beauty up in no time! Since I haven’t been doing a lot of projects lately, I wanted something I could do quickly and this was the perfect place to start. Once I got the wire part done, I sprayed it with some black spray paint and then threw a quick coat of Maison Blanche paint on the terra cotta saucer. Next came the fun part, putting it all together. I set an Ikea plant I had around the house on the saucer and put the wire on top and I was all set! I love the freshness this look adds. And I can switch out the plant for something else in the summer or fall…or because it’s Tuesday! I can’t wait to play around with it. I actually bought a smaller saucer to make a little buddy for this one. Lol. I’m clearly addicted! I’m so grateful Liz sent me her book! I am obsessed with the farmhouse look and am always looking for ways to incorporate more of it into my home. I’ve always loved Liz’s style and now she’s giving us all the tips and tricks on how to get it for ourselves! If you haven’t checked out Liz’s blog, be sure to stop over to Love Grows Wild and take a look around! And if you’re into farmhouse charm as much as I am, be sure to pick up your own copy of her new book, A Touch of Farmhouse Charm. You can find it by clicking HERE.
