I’m so excited to bring you the next set of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint colors! These are the “European” colors that have been added to the already gorgeous milk paint line. These colors are a bit softer and muted than some of the original colors. I just LOVE the way they look together, too! They are so beautiful! They really give a soft, relaxed feel to any piece! Below are all 6 new colors – Arabesque, Bergere, Layla’s Mint, Marzipan, Mora, & Schloss. Each color is shown finished in white wax, furniture wax, antiquing wax, and hemp oil. It may be a little hard to tell, but if you aren’t familiar with the finishes, I’ll explain them a little for you. White wax will lighten your paint color, giving it a muted, but lighter finish. Furniture wax will deepen the paint color just a tiny bit. Mostly, the color will look exactly the same once the wax is dry. Antiquing wax darkens the finish. It isn’t a huge change, but will definitely give your paint a more old, worn look. And hemp oil will deepen the paint color and make it look really rich. Both white wax and antiquing wax are great to use when you want to show off details on a piece. By letting a bit of it settle into nooks and crannies, these waxes accent your piece beautifully! I love all the finishes for different reasons, so if you’re new to painting, be sure to try them all to find out what you like personally! I just so happen to sell all these colors (plus the original 18 colors – shown HERE) at The Found Cottage in Hudsonville, MI. If you’re in the area, stop by to pick up all your milk paint colors and finishes! Also, these are a few pieces I’ve painted in these gorgeous colors. You can click on each picture to bring you to the original post. Clearly, I need to get to using the rest of them!
