Here’s a story … of a pink nightstand.
It started in my neighbor’s trash about two years ago.
I saw it on trash day and decided it needed to be saved. So once it was dark, I ran over there and quickly brought the poor thing home. Before anyone saw me! 😉
Side note : my husband thought I was crazy – and still does every time I rescue something from the trash!
It wasn’t in bad shape, really. It just needed a little lovin’. It was one of the first pieces I ever redid and for whatever reason, I decided it should be red.
I painted it. Waxed it. And it sat in my basement for two years! Mhmmm. You heard that right. I guess I just wasn’t in love with my little makeover.
But I wasn’t going to let my trash to treasure end up back in the trash!
So, after almost two years in my basement, I rescued that little nightstand once again. This time with MMS milk paint in Apron Strings. It got two coats of paint and was finished off with white wax and some cute gold drawer pulls!
I think I can finally say this little gal has been saved and is on her way to finding a new home!
